Some sites that host genealogical pages:

WorldConnect  will allow uploading your .ged files. Displays the info in quite a few ways. The site gets indexed so your data will become part of the "World Connection" on the world wide web.  WorldConnect is part of www.ancestry.com but hosting your file is free there.

While researching what genealogy program to use I found these websites to have a lot of information.  If anyone else is doing the research about doing the research, add to this thread. (hint: this page was created using a 3-column table).
