Olive Standish Jones

Olive was born in Shreveport, LA and lived in the area most of her life. She was a member of Central Christian Church, the Victory Chapter of the Eastern Star #130, and was founder of the American Organ Guild. She received her degree in Music from Northwestern State University. She was also a member of the DAV. Mrs.

Cameron was a professional church organist having worked at numerous churches in the Shreveport area and in Arkansas. She played the organ at Kings Highway Christian Church for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton J. “Hookie” Cameron. She is survived by five sons, Milton J. Cameron II and wife, Bea of Keithville, LA, Claude L. Cameron and wife Shirley of Shreveport, LA, John A. Cameron and wife, Judy of Keithville, LA, Milton P. Cameron of Caddo GAP, AR, and Nelson W. Cameron and wife. Melody of Shreveport LA: 12 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
