Michael George Nessle

Michael George Nessle, third child of Merle Couch and George Nessle, was born September 14, 1954, in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. On October 1, 1982, in Malvern, Pennsylvania, he married Colleen Marie Cochran (born April 13, 1955, in Binghamton, New York).

Michael and Colleen had three children: Mark Lawrence Nessle, born January 11, 1985, in Westchester, Pennsylvania; Michelle St. John Nessle, born April 21, 1987, in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania; and Ryan Michael Nessle, born April 25, 1990, in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania.

Michael grew up in Linfield, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Spring Ford High School in 1972 and from Westchester State College in 1976 with a degree in communications. He is a sales representative for a computer company.

He is interested in World War II aircraft. He goes to air shows and listens to verteran’s war stories. “There are fascinating heroes walking around,” he says.

Colleen earned a B.S. in nutrition from the University of Delaware in 1977. She is a homemaking engineer and dabbles in catering. She enjoys growing herbs and flowers.

Mark plays soccer and is a talented trumpet player.

Michelle loves music. She plays the piano and takes jazz dance classes.

Ryan just finished his first full season of soccer. He also is artistically inclined.

The family enjoys visits to Florida where Michael’s parents have lived for many years, and to Colleen’s grandfather’s cabin on a lake in Ontario, Canada.
