Creating an archive of the 100th reunion
The intent of creating this page is that it will eventually be an archive of the events of the entire reunion time. We will want to add photos, stories (truthful or “elaborated”), videos, etc.
Don’t be surprised, and don’t shy away, if you see Cuzzin Gil walk up to you with a small video camera buzzing away. He will want you to TALK! (and Mike White, I’ll hold up a finger when you only have a minute left).
Silent Auction Update
If you signed up with Crystal to donate items, please bring them first thing Saturday morning to me (I’ll be in the Diffie Cabin and then the kitchen area for kids craft time) or set them on the auction tables in the Diffie Cabin. All proceeds go to the Clingman-Jones Operating Fund. Email Crystal at bcbobcatmom@yahoo.com
Auction Rules and items: (see the items here)
-The minimum bid increment is $5.
-The minimum starting bid for all items is $10.
-The Auction ends at 10pm Saturday so final bids must be made by then.
-If the person donating the item sets a Reserve price (minimum) and it’s not met, they have the right to not sell the item.
-The results will be announced Sunday at the Closing Ceremony, and they will also be posted in the kitchen Sunday at breakfast. You can find Judy Russell or Crystal Prestidge (Diffie Cabin) Sunday to claim your prize. Call Crystal at 405-979-0649 if you need help locating one of them.
-Payments are due when you claim your prize and can be made with cash, Cash App or Venmo.

With the urgency to take of our here-and-now Financial needs (and please do respond ASAP), let’s remember our special Clingman-Jones celebration of 100 years of acquiring Jones Valley is right around the corner – at the end of next week to be exact!!!
As you probably know, the wonderful Jones Creek swimming hole needs cleaning and attending to each year. And this year with some monsoon like December 2022 rains, a whole lot more gravel washed down from the mountainside into the creek and lots settled in the swimming hole area by the low water dam. Cousin Larry (man of action, versus me
), after trying to arrange, but to no avail, for a contractor to go after the project, took the old ‘bull by the horns’ and brought in a bulldozer beast to go after it. Thank you Cuz………….. It’s looking great
I think we can see results look great. Cousins, things are coming together, looking forward to seeing everyone who can be there in Jones Valley, Caddo Gap, Arkansas, USA

Note that the “formal” (such as that is in the hillbilly hills of Arkansas) activities begin on June 30. However, some cuzzins are already there and others are rumored to be arriving Wednesday and Thursday.
